Every credential listed below can be verified independently through the issuing authority's online registry. We list the verification path for each, because patient trust is built on what you can check yourself.
FACS — Fellow, American College of Surgeons
Inducted at the ACS Clinical Congress, 2025. The American College of Surgeons is the largest organisation of surgeons in the world; FACS designation requires fellowship-level training, ethical review, and ongoing professional standards.

Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Granted by the UEMS Plastic Surgery Section, this is the European specialty board certification — equivalent to FRCS (Plast) in the UK system.

Before considering surgery with any surgeon — anywhere in the world — you should be able to verify the following independently:
- Specialty board certification — completed plastic surgery training (e.g., FACS, FEBOPRAS, FRCS Plast, ABPS).
- Active medical licence in their country of practice with no significant disciplinary history.
- Hospital privileges at an accredited hospital (JCI for international standards; equivalent national accreditation otherwise).
- For Türkiye specifically: MoH International Health Tourism Authorisation certificate — required to legally treat international patients. The certificate number can be verified through the Health Tourism Directorate.
- Society memberships in recognised professional organisations (ISAPS, ASPS, BAAPS, BAPRAS, etc.).
- Publication record — academic surgeons typically have a verifiable PubMed presence.
If a surgeon's claimed credentials cannot be verified through the issuing authority's online registry, the credentials should be treated as not established. Every legitimate registry publishes member lists for exactly this purpose. The most serious warning sign in plastic surgery marketing is unverifiable credential claims.

Surgical procedures are performed at JCI-accredited (Joint Commission International) private hospitals in Istanbul. JCI accreditation is the international gold-standard hospital accreditation system, requiring full equivalence with US/Western European hospital safety, infection control, and operating room standards.
