This page does not show patient testimonials, star ratings or review counts. Medical information should help you make a decision, not persuade you into one — and each patient's anatomy, goals and recovery are different. Individual results vary.
How the process works
- First message. You message Dr. Erdal directly on WhatsApp — not a coordinator. If you wish, include standing photographs (frontal, both obliques, lateral), your height and weight, and any pregnancy or weight-change history.
- Personal review. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Işık Erdal personally reviews every international case. The initial consultation is free.
- Consultation. The conversation covers what surgery can and cannot change for you, which technique would fit your anatomy, and whether surgery is advisable at all. Suitability is always confirmed by personal consultation and examination. Selection criteria — weight stability, smoking, controlled diabetes, cardiac and pulmonary history, expectations — are applied before a surgical date is offered, and are set out in full under whether the pathway applies to you. Some enquiries end without an operation being scheduled; that is a legitimate outcome of a consultation rather than a failed one.
- Surgery and early recovery in Istanbul. The hospital stay, early recovery and daily follow-ups take place in Istanbul. The patient journey page sets out each stage and its timing.
- Follow-up. Follow-up continues through to your return home.
Checking independently
You do not need to rely on anything the practice writes about itself. Qualifications, training and the Ministry of Health health-tourism authorisation can be checked on the credentials page; appointments and publication areas are on the academic profile. More usefully, every one of those claims sits in a register maintained by somebody other than this practice, and each register is searchable by anyone.
